    The speckles are even better in person

    I was worried the oat glaze would look flat, but there are little iron flecks that come through on every cup and no two are the same. They sit beautifully in the hand and are heavy enough not to tip.

    Each tumbler came in its own pulp cradle, tied with wool. Not a chip. We use them for everything from espresso to a glass of wine with dinner.

    Lovely, just a touch smaller than I pictured

    Do check the size: 280 ml is a short coffee, not a mug. Knowing that, I'd still buy them again; the raw foot against the glaze is gorgeous.

    Three were perfect and one had a slightly gritty patch on the lip. The shop offered to swap it straight away, which I appreciated, but I've kept it as the pen pot.
